*sings* On the road again.

In Houston for the week whilst a colleague and I speak sagely on AD FS and other assorted matters.

As new towns go, it's not bad. It's about what I had in my head for Texas, if that means anything.

The flight? Oh god help me. You would think that a shrieking toddler would, you know, tire themselves out and stop shrieking at some point during a 3-hour flight. You'd really think that, wouldn't you. Not so much for this one. I really do have work that I should be doing, but I sense a migraine-induced nap coming on nonetheless.

Neil Gaiman book-signing tour scheduled for October

New York and Philadelphia on 2 nights, then Chicago, then Seattle, then onward.

There are people who will follow bands on tour (and, to be fair, I'm one of them), but this is actually an author whom I would follow in a similar manner.)

If you get the joke, you will be joining me in laughing until you cry. Otherwise, you will just think I'm strange.

As your hostess returns to Redmond for a week...

You know you've stayed at a hotel for too long when you go to check in, and the woman on the desk doesn't realize that you'd checked out from last time.  :-)
