If anyone hasn’t had a chance to play with these yet, I stood them up for a demo this week and can confirm that all of the instructions work very nicely as-written, with one exception:

In the final RMS bit, you’re instructed to test federated RMS by logging onto the client as FABRIKAM\administrator: this needs to be FABRIKAM\frankm.

(Or else it means that I missed something and administrator is actually meant to work – but testing using the frankm client works peachy to demo federated RMS regardless.)

Kudo’s to Tariq Sharif of the Fed PG for publishing this over the summer. It’s an excellent walk-through of the federated MOSS user experience, which is so much slicker now with v2 than it was with v1.

Agreed, the documentation is very good for a product at this stage and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy everything was to configure. Can't wait for this to RTM, as I keep seeing opportunities where I could use this!
