    Frivolous electronics purchases.

    So I took the plunge and pre-ordered the Kindle 2 off of Amazon - the new form factor looks ridiculously slick, and I'm already impressed with the "e-Ink" display on the current iteration.

    Now to see exactly how long it takes the order to get fulfilled - I'm setting the over/under at 3 months based on past procurement issues with the 1st Kindle.

    Futher reports as events warrant, faithful readers.

    I almost ordered the Kindle 1 a few months ago, but I agree with your assessment. Pre-ordered my Kindle 2 yesterday ;-)
