    Win7 RC – fully loaded

So I spent the weekend singing “FDisk, Format, re-install, doo-dah, doo-dah” on both of my production laptops for the Win7 RC.

The RC load itself was as completely painless as the beta load was a few months ago, entirely unattended once I whacked my existing partitions. Haven’t noticed any new functionality, though I imagine there has to be some in there since betas don’t tend to be feature-complete, and I’m just not looking hard enough.

However, and this is worth the price of the re-load right here, the RC appears to have cured my ever-crashing-Word-and-PowerPoint problem on both laptops, as neither app has hung up on me on either laptop since the RC load.

(*…she says, suddenly wincing and waiting for Word to start fragging out since it heard her say that*)

So if you have an MSDN/TechNet subscription? Go ye forth and obtain ye the Release Candidate, forthwith. (Or else just wait a few more days for it to drop to the general public.)

    That is all, carry on…
