Why thank you… (one for the Quote-Book)

So I had lunch with a former boss today, who summed up my tenure with him as follows (paraphrased):

“You made it so that our infrastructure didn’t suck anymore, so that we’re now able to go do cool things with it.”

…which, at the end of the day, is really one of the nicest things you can say to an IT architect. :-)
